Description:
Pair of cast roosters, early 1900s, in cast bronze made in several parts and then assembled by welding, then reworked with a chisel and silvered. They are works from the early decades of the 1900s, in which the veracity of the different postures of the roosters and the executive skill of the craftsman who made them are striking. The measurements are different and respectively indicated. They are in perfect condition with some very slight oxidation of the silvering as can be seen in the image gallery. They are of Italian origin and belong to the Art Nouveau period, highly sensitive to the Animalier spirit in depicting farm animals and others in various ways.
