The composition includes pink aragonite crystals, a natural shell, a sprig of white coral, and a fossil shell, according to the encyclopedic taste typical of cabinets of curiosities and scientific collections from the Grand Tour.
Objects of this type were made as educated souvenirs for aristocratic travelers and scholars, combining scientific interest and decorative taste, they were conceived as naturalistic microcosms, combining educational, aesthetic and symbolic value, intended for studies, libraries and aristocratic collections.
The orderly arrangement on individual supports highlights an educated and high-quality decorative production.

Condition: good, with antique patina and slight signs of aging consistent with the period.
