This oil on canvas painting depicts the Chapel of the Rosary inside the Church of Saints John and Paul in Venice. The work is signed and dated lower left: Fedco Moja, 1869, and measures 74 x 60 cm.
A student of Giovanni Migliara, Moja began his artistic career by initially dedicating himself to cityscapes and convent interiors, as seen in this painting.
He was a professor of perspective at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Venice from 1845 onwards. He specialized in creating views of Venice and other cities in the Veneto region, distinguishing himself with his accurate perspective and attention to architectural detail. He regularly participated in exhibitions at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan and the Società Promotrice in Turin, where his presence is consistently documented.
