BRONZE PLAQUE WITH HUNGARIAN HEROES EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Description:
Unique and elegant bronze plaque cast using the lost-wax method in high relief, applied to a wooden frame covered in red velvet. In the center of the plaque is depicted Francis II Rákóczi (1676-1735), Prince of Transylvania, and a symbol of Hungarian nationalism, seated, with a man next to him playing a flute, with a city in the background. Around him, at the four corners of the plaque, are geometric decorations and the depiction of his four captains, accompanied by inscriptions relating to their names. At the bottom of the plaque is the name of the artist, Kallós Ede (1866-1950), a well-known Hungarian sculptor. It is an object of great taste and history, capable of giving a touch of refinement and antiquity to any environment. Hungarian manufacture from the early 19th century.
