Carved and gold leaf-gilded baccellature (beaded) motif decorating the cymatium, typical of the era and origin, reminiscent of ancient Rome. The true original bookcases are among the rarest types of antique furniture in existence, as they were at the time the exclusive prerogative and commission of the learned aristocratic classes, and were almost exclusively destined for castles and patrician residences.
It is in Vienna that the Empire style reaches its maximum splendor.
The atmosphere of the Viennese court, which anticipates the myth of "Austria Felix", infects the patrician residences and the inspiration of the artisans, whose works unite caprice and royalty in a unique and original ensemble, with an almost "feminine" and not purely "austere" appearance as in France, but still with an evident reference to sobriety. The tendencies towards a curvature of the structures, in an ensemble of refined elegance, almost anticipate the softness of the Biedermeier style.
Also for this reason this style, of exceptional rarity, turns out to be one of the most requested and sought after among all eras. Perfectly combinable with modern high-level furniture and design.
