Antique sculpture depicting a reclining cherub/angel, made of carved wood, with traces of original polychromy and patina of time.
The figure is represented in a dynamic and natural pose, with the body lying on a stylized drapery, one arm raised and the other resting on the chest. The face is delicately modeled, with a sweet and contemplative expression, typical of Baroque or late Baroque decorative production.
The work shows signs of wear consistent with age, small missing parts, abrasions and color losses, which testify to its authenticity and historical charm.
Overall, the sculpture is structurally stable and of great decorative impact.
