Elegant round table from the mid-19th century, attributable to the Rolo area, a center known for the high quality of its cabinet-making production and for its refined tradition of wood inlay. The top, with a remarkable diameter (88.5 cm) and of rare width for this type, is entirely decorated with rich geometric marquetry, with a sophisticated perspective motif of three-dimensional cubes, of almost "French" taste, created through the clever combination of precious wood essences such as walnut, maple and cherry. The composition is further enhanced by a complex succession of inlaid concentric bands that affect not only the center of the top but also the entire edge, giving great balance and visual depth to the whole. The table rests on a turned central stem, slender and elegant, grafted onto a base with four shaped feet, wavy and harmonious, typical of the late neoclassical and early romantic taste. The proportions are particularly successful, with a height of 79 cm, which makes it suitable as both a center table and an accent table. The work has been restored with care and respect for the original material and is now ready to be placed in an environment. A structural modification from a later period is noted at the graft of the stem to the top: the original screw is blocked and a discreet technical measure has been adopted to make the table removable, without compromising its stability, functionality or historical readability.
