Two-drawer commode on a structure of oak wood veneered with rosewood and kingwood. The serpentine front is decorated with three panels filled with a trellis pattern with gilded bronze rosettes at the intersection points. The panels are outlined by gilded bronze borders with curved corners filled with bronze rosettes. The curved sides are decorated with similar panels. Each of the two drawers has gilded bronze knob handles. Variegated red griotte marble top and the whole is supported by four curved legs with gilded bronze mounts. This commode, made at the end of the 18th century - beginning of the 19th century, is a copy of the commode by GILLES JOUBERT (Paris 1689-1775) which is located at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
