DIRECTORY STYLE TEMPLE CLOCK LATE 18th CENTURY  Translated
Description:
Refined temple clock, made of Carrara white statuary marble and decorated with mercury gilded bronze. The clock features elegant bronze decorations, characterized by geometric and phytomorphic motifs, enriched by garlands of flowers and palmettes on the sides of the columns. The pendulum is adorned with a classic representation with a radiant figure, while the dial, which can be opened, shows the hours in Roman numerals and bears the inscription "Paris", which testifies to its origin from the watchmaker. The mechanism, with silk thread suspension, is equipped with a chime that signals the hours and half hours. It is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of furnishing any environment with class. French manufacture of the Directory period, around the end of the 18th century.
