Excellent condition
A magnificent view of the Grand Canal as it flows into the Basin of San Marco, between the famous noble palaces and the sunlit silhouette of the Basilica della Salute.
The large canvas depicts a spectacular sequence of typically Venetian buildings reflected in the play of light and shadow on the shimmering waters of the canal, contrasted with the bright blue sky.
The work highlights a great luministic effect and is distinguished by the meticulous description of all the architectural details that characterize the palaces on the Grand Canal.
The author has not signed the painting and should be sought among the best interpreters of the "vedutismo" (view painting) of the Lombard-Venetian school of the 19th century.
The canvas is housed in its splendid original gilded frame and is in excellent condition, still on its original canvas, without restorations or repainting.
This painting is a grand window onto one of the most beautiful vistas of the city.
