Louis XV

third quarter of the 18th century

veneer and walnut burl, maple wood
Provenance
Venice
Authenticity
The furniture has only been cleaned, every part is intact and contemporary, no replacement and does not need any restoration, ready to be placed against the wall.
To ascertain its integrity, it is necessary to view not only the exteriors but also the interiors:
Interiors, bottoms and back in fir wood, "soft" and lightweight wood used by Venetian cabinetmakers to be able to transport furniture more easily inside boats.
By looking at the drawers inside, it is possible to notice the presence of eighteenth-century nails, not perfectly round, as they were "handmade". An oxide has developed around them only due to the passage of time.
The originality can also be seen from the border of the drawers themselves which show the wear given by their sliding.
Coeval locks and handles with a mechanism from the period only revised.
Furthermore, it has already been exhibited at Modenantiquaria 2020 and consequently passed the examination of the Examining Commission.
