Elegant pair of mahogany display cabinets with Carrara marble tops, 1830-1840, Livorno. The furniture features two tapered columns on the pilasters and two glass doors with period glass. The feet consist of finely turned "onions".
The interior features adjustable height shelves (veneered in mahogany on the thickness), allowing for functional display of objects, porcelain, or collections. They can also be used as bookcases.
Both pieces require minor restoration. One of them is slightly taller.
