Elegant and impressive frame in wood and gilded pastiglia, of North Italian origin, datable to the first decades of the 19th century. The profile presents a rich succession of carved and decorated mouldings: vegetal friezes, ovolos, gadroons and foliate motifs, with original gold leaf gilding and a beautiful antique patina. Dimensions: Outer: 130 × 103 cm Inner light: 93.5 × 67 cm Condition: Good overall, with some small gaps and wear of the pastiglia, consistent with the age.Ideal both to be used as is, or for a possible conservative restoration (estimate on request).
