Refined oil painting on canvas, in a contemporary carved and ebonized wooden frame. The painting depicts the portrait of a gentleman, dressed in an elegant suit with a blue bow at the neck and his left hand inside the jacket. His gaze and face are turned three-quarters, expressing solemnity. It is a portrait appreciable for the rendering of the particulars and physiognomic details of the man, accompanied by a background with green drapery, which illuminates the painting, and able to give a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Manufacture attributable to the Italian school, probably Tuscan, of the mid-19th century.
