Forged iron sallet. Heavy, single-piece skull with pronounced fluting and a small backward-sloping point. The lower edge is bordered by brass rivets with decorative rosettes (some incomplete). Short brim with a rolled edge. An unidentified stamped maker's mark is present on the brim, along with a hanging hole at the back. Slightly worn surface. Retains (rare) the original fabric-lined inner band. Height 20.5 cm.
