(SPC193) The beautiful Gilded Antique Mirror with Crest offered here from the mid-19th Century is made of carved and gilded wood. The antique mirror is richly decorated, with a crest, a pediment with an intertwined laurel wreath and a central medallion with a coat of arms or heraldic motif; on the sides, hanging bouquets and floral swags. In the lower part, another medallion or cartouche with an engraved monogram ("A" and "R"). The laurel wreaths represent glory, triumph, and honor, elements typical of the Neoclassical style. Furthermore, it has an original and authentic antique bevelled mirror, slightly imperfect due to age-related wear. The antique mirror shows signs of oxidation and black spotting, characteristic of antique glass, which attest to its authenticity and age. The antique mirror frame has a high-quality antique gilding.
