WALNUT DROP-FRONT DESK WITH LATE 17TH CENTURY INLAYS
Description:
Elegant drop-front desk veneered in walnut burl and inlaid with fruitwoods. The drop-front desk has a linear shape, with bracket feet and a hinged top. The geometric inlays are present on the front, sides, fall-front, and top, and give great refinement. The drop-front desk has a hinged top with sliding supports, inside which there are six small drawers and a secret compartment, which contains another four secret drawers. The piece of furniture also consists of three drawers, ergonomic for storing objects, and openable with bronze pulls. This is a drop-front desk of great taste and refinement, able to furnish any room with class. Lombard manufacture (Lombardy, Italy) from the Louis XIV period, around the end of the 17th century.
