Lower Austria, late 1700s or early 1800s, charming and rare painted cupboard in practically intact condition, including the painting and hardware, finely painted with delicate floral motifs on a green background. Practical, rare, and cheerful piece of folk furniture. Austrian painted furniture in excellent condition of pictorial preservation is very rare and today mostly kept in museums or prestigious private collections. Restored to perfection and consolidated with shellac varnish applied with a pad on practically intact painting, for conservation purposes. Also excellent for combining with modern furnishings in an ensemble of cheerful elegance. Measures cm. 108 wide x 40 deep x 177 high.
