Rare Viennese Biedermeier period chiffoniere/weekly dresser, practically intact and with original patina, veneered in flamed blond walnut feather. Vienna, ca. 1815-1820. There is an ingenious mechanical mechanism that ensures the closure of all drawers by closing the first one, which is equipped with an original lock; all other drawers can be opened only by slightly opening the first drawer to a particular position. The piece is in patina and in practically intact condition, including the hardware, with a shellac finish applied by pad with museum-standard technique. Dimensions: 148 x 72 x 40 cm deep.
