Beautiful oil painting on canvas, in a coeval carved and ebonized wooden frame. The painting depicts Saint Rose, a Peruvian nun, whose cult spread in Italy in the 17th century, and characterized by her typical attributes. The saint is presented with a nun's habit, with a crown of roses on her head, and a very expressive sideways glance. In her hands the Saint also holds roses, which are her typical attributes. It is a painting of great pictorial quality and well preserved, capable of giving a touch of antiquity and class to any environment. Italian manufacture, attributable to the school of Southern Italy, from the late 17th century.
