Oil on walnut panel. The painting follows the Tuscan models of the early 16th century (for example, the pictorial style of Domenico Puligo), but it is of slightly later production and of a weaker hand, from a "peripheral" production. The subject, absolutely traditional, proposes the Madonna nursing Jesus Child, framed by a curtain; the little one, while suckling at his mother's breast, looks towards the viewer, while the mother stares tenderly at her son. On the back of the panel appears the monogram C.P., probably indicating the author. The panel has several small color losses.
