LACQUERED TOWER CLOCK EARLY 19TH CENTURY  Translated
Description:
Elegant tower clock in lacquered and painted wood. The clock is lacquered in a green-water color, and adorned with painted decorations with plant and geometric motifs, which seem to recall the "grotesque" style and give it a sober elegance. The structure is characterized by a sober and slender stem, and a case with glass front and sides, which can be opened on the front by a small door. Inside, the clock features a working mechanism, including a dial with Roman numerals and decorated with plant motifs. In the middle part it is also possible to open the case, in which the pendulum and the two weights are present. Finally, the base can also be opened, like a door, and is painted to imitate marble. It is a well-made clock, able to furnish any environment with taste. French manufacture from the early 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 235 x 34 x 22.5cm  Translated
