Gualdo Tadino majolica crater, early 20th century
Description:
Splendid polychrome majolica crater with metallic luster, characterized by a ring foot, everted rim and ribbon handles. The crater features a painted decoration with geometric patterns, reminiscent of classical antiquity, and with geometric and floral details of various colors. The vase is in excellent condition, and is a splendid work capable of decorating any environment with refinement and antiquity. As can be read on the bottom where the mark "S C M T- Gualdo T." is imprinted, attributable to the Società Ceramica Umbra, of which the production workshop is Gualdo Tadino (Umbria), dating back to the early 20th century.
