PAIR OF LACQUERED AND GILDED ARMCHAIRS, SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY

Elegant pair of tub chairs in carved cherry wood, lacquered and gilded with gold leaf. The armchairs feature truncated conical legs, curved armrests with fluting on the underside, and an exquisitely decorated back. The upper part of the back is characterized by an antique pink painted flower garland, while the lower part features gilded "metope" decorations, reminiscent of the classical style, adding further refinement. The armchairs also feature original upholstery. This is a well-crafted pair of armchairs, capable of furnishing any room with taste and refinement.
