NEOCLASSICAL WALNUT FEATHER FALL-FRONT DESK, SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY
Description:
Sumptuous roll-top fall-front desk veneered in walnut feather. The fall-front desk has a serpentine front, characterized by the presence in the upper part of a pull-out door with gilded bronze handles, which transforms into a small writing table and allows the roll-top to slide. The latter opens revealing small drawers and niches, ergonomic for storing objects. The fall-front desk also has three drawers with handles in lost-wax cast and gilded bronze. This is a beautiful piece of furniture, in excellent condition and with beautiful proportions, capable of furnishing any environment with refinement and elegance. French manufacture from the neoclassical period, second half of the 18th century.
