PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY BRONZE CANDELABRA WITH CHERUBS
Description:
Excellent pair of lost-wax cast, burnished bronze, two-light candelabra. The candelabra rest on bases of painted wood imitating marble, with bronze lion's feet. Below there are three kneeling cherubs supporting a shield embellished with garlands of flowers and fruit; on the shield rests a standing cherub, whose hands grasp two branches that terminate in the candelabra. An object of great decorative strength and refined elegance. Italian manufacture, second half of the 19th century.
