Magnificent Louis XIV chest of drawers with double curves and heart-shaped decoration, Genoa, first half of the 18th century
Description:
The front, without crosspieces and divided into three large drawers, is finely veneered in kingwood and embellished with the classic Genoese heart motif, here particularly rich and elegant.
The coeval gilded bronze elements include finely chiseled handles, keyhole escutcheons, and corner pieces. The tabletop is in precious gray breccia marble, shaped according to the line of the furniture.
