Rare and elegant commode from the period of the First Viennese Empire in transition with the early Biedermeier period, in perfect condition. Vienna, circa 1810-1815. It is veneered in cherry feather with magnificent grains, with particular ebonized details and columns. The work is in museum-like conditions of integrity, restored and consolidated with conservative criteria with a masterful shellac finish applied with a pad using a museum standard technique on the first warm original patina preserved. Admirable in its elegant sobriety also for a refined combination with modern furniture. Original internal and external hardware; external in embossed bronze. Dimensions: width 120 cm, depth 61 cm, height 82 cm.
