Gilded wooden Baroque frame with holy water font - Louis Philippe.
Elegant antique frame in carved and gilded wood, embellished with rich decoration of volutes, shells and floral motifs, typical of the Baroque style. The sinuous and asymmetrical shape, combined with the careful relief work, gives the piece an extraordinary stage presence.
In the lower part there is a holy water font sculpted in the shape of a vase with a shell, also finely decorated, which indicates the original destination of the piece for religious or devotional use, probably as a wall element in a private chapel or in a noble domestic environment.
The original gilding shows a pleasant antique patina with slight wear, which testifies to its authenticity and age.
