Description:
Description: Neapolitan Smith console table in flamed mahogany with maple inlay inserts.

George Smith: Owner of a large cabinet-making workshop in London and active between 1804 and 1828, famous for having published in 1808 an album of engravings entitled "A Collection of Designs for Household Furniture", some scholars suggest that the Neapolitan "Smith" furniture was inspired by the designs of George Smith.
