Pair of ceramic plates in graffito style, Alessio Tasca, Nove, 1950s
Description:
Pair of ceramic plates made by Alessio Tasca (Nove, 1929–2020) in the 1950s, decorated with the graffito technique on colored enamel. The subjects are based on famous works of Venetian painting: Diana and Actaeon, after Giambattista Pittoni, and Venus and Adonis, after Paolo Veronese. The designs are obtained by engraving the still fresh surface of the brick-colored glaze, allowing the light background to emerge in a refined graphic effect. Both plates bear an engraved signature and inscription on the back with an indication of the reference work. Diameter: 34 cm. Excellent condition. Contact us for more information. Worldwide shipping.
