Delightful and small Davenport (cm.53x53; h.86) made of walnut with geometric inlays (photo n°1): originating from England, it was made in the second half of the 19th century, in the full Victorian period. The height to the desk top is cm.78, the height to the compartment, which measures cm.48x14; h.8, is cm.86 (from the ground). Supported by 4 turned legs, it has four drawers (cm.46; h.10) on the right side while, on the left side, the four drawers are dummy (photo n°9). The writing surface, with a flap that folds upwards (photo n°9), is covered in green leather (cm.42x23) finished with Greek fret decorations made by means of hot engravings and conceals a storage compartment (photo n°5). In the upper part there is a compartment with an opening from above (photo n°7) to store the two inkwells (missing), the pens and, on the left, the letter paper. The price includes a perfect restoration.
