Small two-handled maiolica bowl, Grosso di Albissola manufacture, Lanterna mark in blue, mid-17th century
The scalloped bowl has two handles between two minor lobes and the white maiolica is completely decorated in cobalt blue monochrome with a calligraphic naturalistic motif inspired by oriental porcelains. On the external and internal walls we find a wide band with phytomorphic motifs. Inside, on the bottom, a bird is surrounded by leafy tufts that come out of boulders.
