Small two-handled majolica bowl, Grosso di Albissola manufacture, blue Lantern mark, mid-17th century
The six-lobed bowl has two handles between two minor lobes and the white majolica is completely decorated in cobalt blue monochrome with a calligraphic naturalistic motif inspired by oriental porcelains. On the external and internal walls we find a wide band with phytomorphic motifs. Inside, on the bottom, a bird is surrounded by leafy tufts emerging from boulders.
