Antique burr walnut Davenport with inlaid fillets and a stationery compartment inlaid with various woods

Description: Small antique English Davenport (54x55 cm; h.80 cm) made during the Victorian period in burr walnut inlaid with geometric and floral decorations: on the right side (photo n° 8) it has four drawers, while on the left side the drawers are fake (photo n° 6). The burgundy leather writing surface (now faded: it will be revived or changed during the restoration) lifting up (photo n° 6) conceals a compartment. Inside the compartment we see fake drawers, as the space is reserved for the stationery holder (photo n° 4) which we find in the upper part with inlaid and domed lid (photo n° 3 and 5). It is in a good state of conservation without breaks or woodworms: the price is for a perfectly restored item.
