Louis XVI mahogany secretary, France late 18th century
Description:
Elegant French Louis XVI period secretary, made of mahogany and finely veneered. The piece of furniture has a white marble top, a drop-front covered in green leather with a gilded border, and an interior with six drawers and open compartments. The gilded bronze trims, placed on the corners and on the locks, enrich the whole with sober refinement.
Linear in structure but rich in details, it is a typical example of late 18th-century French production, designed to combine function and decor in noble environments.
