Description: Solid wood chair of 19th-century Venetian manufacture, characterized by a rich sculpted decoration that enhances its craftsmanship. The backrest is embellished with an upper crosspiece worked with volutes that converge towards a refined central plant motif, also repeated in the lower edge. The two tall lateral uprights sculpted with terminal curls frame the back, conferring verticality and momentum to the structure. The seat, smooth and flat, rests on four squared legs solidly connected by horizontal crosspieces. The front crosspiece, larger than the others, echoes the decoration of the backrest, creating a refined stylistic balance between the parts. The chair has a missing part on the carving of the backrest and several woodworm holes, defects that attest to its authenticity and historical background.
