Rare and important bronze vases with two handles, finely crafted and engraved with elegant and precious motifs of plant and floral volutes executed over their entire surface. The handles are extremely valuable, originating from a grotesque mask and including finely chased female caryatids.
Works of this kind were produced within the grand ducal workshops by masters of bronze casting, involving sculptors, chasers, and goldsmiths. The dating of these artifacts can be estimated between the last quarter of the 16th and the very first years of the 17th century.
