Description:
Vienna circa 1820. Elegant Biedermeier sofa from the early phase of the Biedermeier period, intact, veneered in feather and burr of blond walnut, with an elegant "lyre" shape and perfect proportions. Environment of cabinetmakers close to Joseph Danhauser. Dimensions: 156 cm width, 56 cm depth, 89 cm height; seat height 56 cm, width 108 cm, depth 48 cm. The piece is in intact wooden condition, with patina, with a shellac finish applied by hand using museum-standard techniques. Upholstery covered in elegant ivory-colored satin (replaceable on request). Magnificent work with a design that "conquers time", with a sober and minimalist elegant line, also excellent for combining with modern high-end furniture for a unique, exclusive and refined ensemble. From the warm golden amber color of the antique patina of blond walnut with a true hand-rubbed shellac finish.
