Center table in carved, lacquered, and gilded wood, Piedmont, 18th century

Center table in finely carved and gilded wood with elegant red lacquered parts. The top, made of scagliola, is decorated in polychromy with Savoy emblems on the sides and a central depiction of weapons, on a black background, a symbol of great skill and refinement. An example of exceptional quality from Piedmont in the first half of the 18th century. For similar models, reference is made to the Exhibition of Piedmontese Baroque 1963, fig. 86-87.
