Antique late 18th century silver frame decorated with embossed cherubs

Description: Antique and delightful frame made in Italy between the late 1700s and early 1800s in high-grade silver (900 silver without hallmark): decorated with precious embossed work done by hand, with pairs of cherubs in relief in the center of each side (photo #2). Embossing is a technique that consists of performing manual work from the inside of the silver sheet using special tools. The slightly curved rectangle alone measures 10 cm; h.14 and is 1 cm wide. The light for inserting a photograph measures 8 cm; h.12. Good state of conservation: lack of two points of leaflets, inconsequential (photo #5, right).
