Neogothic-style bookcase in mahogany, with oak and fir interiors. Central drop-front drawer concealing an internal writing surface with open compartments, drawers, a central door, and a red leather top, veneered front divided into two parts with elliptical maple threadings. Veneered lower doors with elliptical maple threadings echoing the drawer above, bracket feet. Upper section with glass doors featuring superimposed gothic arches, cornice with maple inlaid band, adjustable internal shelves with a lateral rack. England, first quarter of the 19th century.
