Vienna 1820 approx. Very rare and elegant work table from the early Viennese Biedermeier period.
Description:
Vienna 1820 approx. Very rare and elegant work table from the early Viennese Biedermeier period, with an elegant oval shape and saber-shaped supports. The basket in the center, with antique fabric presumably original to the era (literature Das k.k. Nationalfabrikproduktkabinett - Technik und Design des Biedermeier - page 101 for a similar fabric - cotton dyed with impression printing), was used to store yarn balls. The work is veneered in cherry feather, in admirable condition with conservative restoration to the highest standards of consolidation and French polish applied to the first patina with museum-standard technique. It measures 62x44 cm the top, and 75 cm in height. Work belonging to the most refined Viennese Biedermeier of designers close to Joseph Danhauser. Also excellent for pairing with high-end modern furniture, even in a small apartment, for an ensemble of refined elegance. With a warm original first patina. In accordance with the provisions of the New Code of Cultural Heritage, the selling company provides simultaneously with the sale a detailed written photographic guarantee of originality and provenance of the works sold. The data with which the works are described and then contained in the written guarantees are expressed determinations resulting from accurate and documented technical/historical/artistic investigations, even of expert assessment.
