Vienna 1800-1810. Wonderful and rare Viennese First Empire commode-table clock with automatons, in conditions of integrity, signed on the case by Sigmund Wald, Uhrmacher in Wien. The case is made of mahogany wood with intact bronze applications of refined empire taste. The dial is in enamel and chiseled brass. The mechanism repeats hours and half hours. When the hours strike, the figure (a blacksmith) with the hammer moves and beats the iron (see video at the bottom of the page to appreciate the sound and the automatism). Working and overhauled. Measures cm wide 25 cm, 44 high and cm. 12.5 deep.
