Description:
(QF630) The category Antique Flower Paintings offers a beautiful Oil Painting On Canvas from the late nineteenth century. It is a pleasing still life, representing a bouquet of flowers with yellow Daisies, Lilacs and small Roses of various colors elegantly arranged in a decorated ceramic vase. Impressionist painting. The painting on canvas is signed at the bottom right Gruyer Brielman, a French painter of landscapes, still lifes and flowers. Eugénie Claire Gruyer Brielman (1837-1921) was born in Grenoble, studied at the Académie Julian in Paris, where she was a student of Brielmann and Serres. From 1878 she exhibited at the "Salon des Artistes Français" in Paris. In 1896 and 1900 she received an honorable mention at the "Exposition Universelle de Paris" and finally a third class medal in 1899. Some paintings by this artist are kept in the Grenoble museum.
