Item Description
Pendulum clock. A tower structure divided into three parts encloses the mechanism and dial of the clock. In the lower part, a parallelepiped supported by low corbel feet and finished with a frame placed horizontally to act as a plinth. In the second part, the case consists of a real door with glass showcasing the pendulum movement. The structure widens following the round shape of the oscillating "weight" and enhances it with polychrome painted flowers that frame its surface. In the upper part, another door, also equipped with glass, allows the vision of the beautiful dial in embossed and gilded sheet metal, depicting an allegory of agriculture, framing the real white dial with Roman numerals. The clock has a softwood case enhanced, as already mentioned, by a polychrome painting. Revision of the mechanism is recommended.
