Rare "bedside and night" table (table de chevete), in absolutely intact condition, with original patina and polishing. It is made of solid oak with its original patina (the dark color is solely the patina of time, the piece is free from any intervention). Measures cm. 50x33 with height 80. Austria around 1750. It is a rare, practical and unique type of furniture, a cross between a serving table and a bedside table (Literature describing this type of antique furniture, "The Great Book of Antique Furniture," Dr. Giandomenico Piva). Intact piece with shellac finish applied with a pad using a museum-standard technique on original patina.
