19th-century burr walnut inlaid bookcase.
Description:
This bookcase, dating back to the second half of the 19th century, represents a splendid example of Dutch craftsmanship. Made of fine wood, probably burr walnut or olive wood, it is characterized by a fine inlaid work with floral motifs, executed with extreme precision and refinement.
The structure is composed of two sections:
1. Upper part – It has two glass doors that allow visibility of the objects or books displayed inside. The windows are framed by inlaid panels with delicate floral decorations, symmetrical and harmonious, enriched by the warm natural tone of the wood.
2. Bottom - Characterized by two closed doors, also embellished with inlays depicting stylized flower vases. These decorative elements, typical of the Dutch tradition, confer elegance and uniqueness to the piece of furniture.
The entire structure is embellished with an original patina that enhances the charm of the wood and its natural grain. The inlays, made of woods of different colors, create a striking color contrast, highlighting the floral details.
