The console has a rectangular white marble top. The underlying band features refined carvings with golden decorations in neoclassical style in the shape of plants inscribed in elegant frames and reserves. At the center stands a carved female face, while near the corners large flowers are carved inside square frames. The golden summit frame is carved with acanthus leaf motifs. The four legs originate with a quadrangular capital with a golden decoration in the shape of a bow, enclosed between two golden cones with geometric carvings. The shaft of the legs is shaped like a truncated inverted pyramid, with phytomorphic carvings. The frame of the mirror reflects the partition with reserves and golden frames of the console. On the lower side the ornament includes a faun's head, while the sides are decorated with carvings in the shape of a neoclassical vase, at the bottom, and composite ornaments with birds, garlands, vegetal elements in the center and phytomorphic ornaments at the top. Above the mirror, the summit band of the frame, wider, presents at the center a large vase in classical style with leafy and floral elements, from which depart two garlands supported by two little birds. Laterally they are adorned with phytomorphic carvings and even higher up a woman's head centers the decoration resuming the under-top band of the console. In the important Italian palaces consoles with mirrors were among the most sought-after furnishings, an emblem of the client's wealth, to be flaunted in the large reception halls. This type of highly decorative furniture is still of great scenic effect and contributes to the elegance and refinement of any environment that hosts it, whether of modern or antique taste. Its particular and contained measurements make it easily placed in an entrance or in a hallway, but also in a room or in a living room in which it will bring grace and brightness thanks to the reflection of the mirror, to light tones of lacquer and the luster of gold. It is also possible to buy individually both the console and the mirror. A conservative restoration will be carried out shortly.
