Description:
Neoclassical two-drawer chest of drawers in walnut, Neoclassical period. The very elegant piece of furniture features two drawers that fit into the carved framing in the uprights and chains. The base has the typical carved Greek fret, while applied fillets on the corners delineate the piece (one is missing); turned and gouged feet, one lock missing. Neoclassicism in Parma was very early thanks to the presence of the French court and the court architect Ennemond Alexandre Petitot.
